Hailing from Ottawa Canada, Mz. Revolution comes correct, representing the new school ragga jungle sound!
Spinning since 2000, Mz. Revolution has played at parties and clubs, at protests and on rooftops. In Ottawa, she has numerous residencies under her ammo belt including Chicks with Decks, The Garden Spot (Carleton University’s vegan soup kitchen) and in the summer of 2004 at Ottawa’s ragga jungle weekly, Ghetto Freak Thursdays. From 2002 to mid-2004 she ruled the airwaves of the capital city with The Friday Night Jungle Show on CKCU 93.1 FM. Alongside some solid crew, Mz. Revolution also promoted Beatz and Piecez, Ottawa’s original graffiti art parties.
In addition to promoting and causing a ragga ruckus at home, Mz. Revolution has played across Canada from Whitehorse to Montreal, including appearances for three summers at the Shambhala Music festival in southern B.C. Recently while completing her Master's in Sustainable Development Management in Sweden she also took the opportunity to take the NA ragga sounds to the european massive, playing shows in Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands.
On Oct. 22nd, Mz. Revolution will be playing alongside Ladylite and friends in Belgium. (Check www.breakz.be for details) After that, it's back to Canada's capital city Ottawa to play, promote, produce.
