Seraphim

Seraphim, Sister San Francisco's spinstress has been pushing the unique
envelope of drum n bass sound for nearly four years, and is always
guarenteed to rock the dancefloor. From light, lush and melodic to dark,
smashing beats this angel of bass is known for bringing the vibe to the
crowd time after time.

In 1999, Seraphim met Sister co-founder Siren while working at XLR8R
Magazine. From there she helped with production work at Nikita/Spundaes'
"Bassment" at Club 1015 Folsom in San Francisco, and handled the bookings
and promotion for the Bassment on Friday nights. She worked hard to bring in
top notch talent, while supporting the local scene.

Seraphim joined forces with SISTER in March of 2000, bringing to the
collective her unmistakable talent and devotion to the San Francisco Bay
Area music scene. That year, she was nominated for the San Francisco
Clubby's award for best Jungle/Drum n Bass DJ, and played at local clubs
such as Phuturo, Eklektic, The Bassment at Nikita, Compression and many
more. She was also seen and heard regularly at Groovetech, before the SF
studios were unfortunately shut down.

In 2001, Seraphim started a weekly D&B/breaks radio show called Sub Bass
Sessions at Radio Haze St, having weekly guests play a variety of new and
unheard sounds. Also that year, Sister's D&B selecta showcased her talent in
Miami at the Winter Music Conference, in Las Vegas, NV and Fresno, CA on the
Vans Warped Tour and other cities such as Seattle, Sacramento, Salt Lake
City, to name a few.

Having studied jazz music in school, the 25 year old DJ known as Seraphim is
working hard within the Sister collective, throwing events here in SF as
well as Miami at WMC, DJing almost every weekend, and working on beats in
her studio when allowed the time.

Seraphim has also has shared the stage DJs Craze, Storm, Dom & Roland,
Fierce, Red One, Disco D, Reid Speed, and Ray Keith. Mixes include Seraphim
(self titled, tape), Secular (CD), Angels Affliction (CD), and a mix release
out now titled Redline (CD). Be sure to keep your ears out for Seraphim,
Sister's drum n bass siren sure to send chills up your spine!
